The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give some insight on preparing for a boudoir experience with me!
Do you share my images?
Our number one priority is making sure our clients are comfortable , especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience , but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, never will it ever be expected or pushed on you. It all depends on your personal preference! If their are photos I would like to share, I will always ask for permission!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a bunch of outfit ideas and we encourage our clients to feel their best. In the past we have seen dresses, button downs, boots, shorts, and the list continues.
I will be there to help you style your session according to your vision!
Where should I buy outfits?
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on the vibe and style you want for your experience! Here is a long list to choose from with different styles and sizing! Victorias secret, Honey Birdette, Adore me, Playful Promises, Thistle and Spire, Aerie, Hips and curves, Agent Provocateur, Skims, Dita Von Teese. However, I have an extensive and inclusive luxury client closet of hundreds of pieces of lingerie ranging from XS-5X.
I am freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?
Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WERE NOT nervous, unless you are a returning client. The nervousness in the beginning of the shoot makes your moment of ‘WOW’ seeing your photos so much better!
How many outfits should I bring?
While you are not required to bring any, I always recommend bringing two! This is great if you have a certain style you want to incorporate or have something special to you or of your significant others you want to show off! Again, we have a large client closet that has catered to all of our clients needs.
Do you have payment plans?
YES! We offer payment plans for all of our clients. We offer in house financing with a retainer down and a monthly or biweekly payment schedule based on what you prefer. The balance is to be paid off 4 weeks prior to your session day! We also accept PayPal Credit, Affirm, AfterPay as well these options help host your session sooner. Let me know if this is something that you want me to help you with.
Do you photoshop my images?
I do edit your images for light, exposure and color balance. I do NOT however edit anything out that is permanent! I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don’t like. If there are parts of yourself that you are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make sure you look your absolute best!
Should I get to my shoot early?
You should always plan on getting to your session about 5 minutes early. You will receive specific arrival instructions 48 hours prior to your session day!
Where is your studio located?
Our boudoir studio is located in Old Town Spring, TX and is about 20 minutes outside of downtown Houston.
Is hair and make up included?
Hair and make up is included in all of our sessions! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered and having your hair and make up done is a great way to do that! Carley with ‘carleyhairandmakeup’ is our team artist, and I trust her fully with every client.
One of the best parts is the transformation and my clients getting blown away by how beautiful they feel! Anywhere from natural to full glam!
What type of print products do you have?
We offer a variety of albums, metal wall art, and luxury glass boxes with prints in them! The 10x10 album happens to be my favorite, it’s a great keepsake and very private! We have numerous beautiful cover options that our clients love, but it’s a close tie with our wall art! I ADORE seeing what images my clients choose to print and display! I love the feeling of physical prints, it’s so surreal to see yourself like that!
Do you offer digitals?
Yes! It is not uncommon that some of our client will opt for a digital only gallery and in that case I create them a mobile app similar to Facebook to access all of their images right from their phone!
