Delaina shares the story of her Boudoir Experience
Where to begin?
Delainas husband Michael reached out to me, and said my wife has been a huge fan of yours for quite some time. I love her and know that booking this experience for Christmas would be so special and give her such a confidence boost while being pampered for the day. We exchanged a few emails back and forth and we had him ready to reveal his big gift. To deliver this gift, Michael printed my brochure along with several other gorgeous pictures of Delaina, and at the end it disclosed that he had booked this experience for her. I have encountered some thoughtful husbands over the time of almost 8 years in the photography world but this has taken the cake.
Delaina shared her experience with me from her own point of view and has allowed me to share in hopes to comfort others.

Having boudoir photos done has always been on my bucket list. I followed numerous boudoir photographers on Facebook and Instagram because I knew I always wanted to do it someday. Ya know, after I got in shape, after I had that “mommy makeover”, and all the other excuses as to why I couldn’t do it now.
Well something always drew me to Marissa’s pages! I obsessed over wanting to see myself the way she photographed so many ladies.
For Christmas, my husband surprised me with my session! I was completely shocked and thrilled!
Then it hit me….. I wasn’t in shape yet, I hadn’t had my makeover yet. I WASNT READY!
On the day of my shoot, I was so nervous and terrified that I seriously contemplated backing out.
I’m so glad I didn’t!
I remember her telling me this, but I just remember seeing her face light up seeing the back of the camera
‘THATS ME?!?!’
Marissa made me feel so beautiful before I even got my hair and makeup done.
There is just something about her that puts you at ease. You know the kind of person that you just met but feel like you have known them your whole life. The kind of person that you can tell anything to.
The kind of person that not only doesn’t judge you but is your biggest cheerleader.
There was no judgment about stretch marks or cellulite. In fact, the more clothes that came off, the more free and comfortable I felt (crazy, I know)!
My experience with Marissa was so much more than just a boudoir shoot. It was more than just an experience. It gave me back a piece of myself that I haven’t had since I had kids!
I wasn’t just a wife or just a mom, or chauffeur to baseball practice anymore. I found myself again! That is priceless and I will forever be indebted to her for the opportunity to find that again!
I count down the days for me to be back in her studio!
